Whether you’re hitting the beach this summer or just battling the temperature in the city, we could all use a little help keeping our hair hydrated. Here are 3 easy recipes to whip up at home that will nourish your hair … if you don’t drink them first!
Combine ½ a cup of full fat milk with 1 teaspoon of honey, warm slightly and stir then transfer to a spray bottle.
Spray the mixture all over your hair and scalp then wear a shower cap or wrap your head in cloth or towel. Leave the mixture in for up to half an hour then rinse well.
Combine a ripe avocado with ½ a cup of coconut milk, a tablespoon of olive oil and a tablespoon of honey. Mash the avocado then blend with the remaining ingredients until smooth.
Apply this mask to dry or damp hair and massage into your scalp. Leave in for up to half an hour then rinse well.
Place a very ripened banana, enough full fat milk to blend, a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of almond oil in a blender and blend until smooth. The mixture should be runny but thick enough to hold to your hair.
